In some corporate training arrangements (see Section 3), we may act as a data processor on behalf of a client organisation.

This notice applies to individuals who:
- purchase a training course, eLearning module, or diploma directly from us;
- attend a public or corporate training course we deliver;
- access our learning management system (LMS);
- receive examination vouchers or certificates from us;
- are issued (or invited to accept) a digital badge;
- are invited to leave a post‑course review;
- sign up to receive marketing communications from us.
3. When we are a controller and when we are a processor
We are a Data Controller when:
- you purchase training or eLearning directly from us;
- we create and manage your LMS account;
- we issue certificates, diplomas, or digital badges in our own name;
- we send training‑related or marketing communications;
- we invite you to leave a review;
- we retain training records for quality assurance or audit purposes.
We act as a Data Processor when:
- a corporate client provides us with delegate details;
- the client decides who attends and why;
- we process delegate data strictly to deliver training on the client’s instructions.
In these cases, the client organisation is the Data Controller and is responsible for providing privacy information to its delegates.

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect and process the following categories of data:

Learning and course data
- Courses booked or attended

5. How we use your data

- deliver training courses, eLearning programmes and diplomas;
- create and administer LMS accounts;
- send joining instructions and course materials;
- manage course logistics and attendance;
- issue examination vouchers;
- issue certificates, diplomas, and digital badges;
- communicate with trainers delivering courses (internal or contracted);
- raise invoices and reconcile payments;
- meet audit, reporting, and quality assurance requirements;

- Contract – to deliver training or eLearning you have purchased, or that your organisation has commissioned.
- Legitimate interests – to manage training delivery, certification, digital credentials, quality assurance, reviews, and business operations.

7. Learning management system (Litmos)
We use Litmos as our learning management system (LMS).
When required, we create an LMS account using:
- your name;
- your email address;
- course enrolment and progress information.
Litmos acts as a data processor, processing personal data only on our documented instructions.

8. Digital badges (Credly)
We use Credly to issue digital badges for selected courses.
To issue a badge, we upload:
- your name;
- your email address;
- the course or achievement completed.
Credly then sends you an invitation to create an account and choose whether to accept or decline the badge. You are not required to accept a badge, and declining does not affect your training outcome.

9. Payments (Stripe)
Online payments are processed securely by Stripe.
We do not store payment card details. Stripe acts as an independent data controller for payment processing, fraud prevention, and regulatory compliance.

10. Marketing communications (Mailchimp)
Where you have opted in to receive marketing communications:
- we use Mailchimp to manage subscriptions and email campaigns;
- Mailchimp acts as our data processor;
- you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any marketing email.
We do not send marketing emails without consent.
11. Reviews and feedback (Reviews.io)
After completing a course, we may invite you to leave feedback via Reviews.io.
To send review invitations, we may share:
- your name;
- your email address;
- an order or course reference.

12. Sharing your data
We may share personal data with:
- trainers delivering your course (internal staff or contracted trainers);
- corporate client organisations (for attendance reporting);
- Litmos (learning platform);

- Reviews.io (course feedback);
- Stripe (payments);
- Turner & Townsend group finance systems for invoicing and audit purposes;
- regulators or authorities where legally required.
We do not sell personal data.
13. International transfers
Some of our service providers operate outside the UK. Where personal data is transferred internationally, appropriate safeguards are in place, such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent protections.
14. How long we keep your data
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described above. Typical retention periods include:
- course delivery and logistics data: 3 to 12 months after course completion;
- examination voucher and credential tracking data: up to 12 months after issuance or expiry;
- digital badge issuance records: up to 12 months;
- marketing data: until you unsubscribe, plus a limited suppression period;
- financial and invoicing records: 6 years from the end of the relevant financial year.
Data is securely deleted or anonymised when no longer required.
15. Your rights
You have the right to:
- access your personal data;
- request correction of inaccurate data;
- request erasure in certain circumstances;
- object to processing based on legitimate interests;
- withdraw consent for marketing at any time;
- lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
